The Branch of Aga Khan Foundation in Kyrgyz Republic is looking for Temporary Project Accountant

The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) is a non-denominational, international development foundation, which was established in 1967 by His Highness the Aga Khan and is a part of the Aga Khan Development Network. Its mission is to develop and promote innovative solutions to problems that impede social development for rural communities in mountainous, coastal and other resource-poor areas. Created as a private, non-profit foundation, AKF has branches and affiliates in some 20 countries.

In the Kyrgyz Republic, AKF is engaged in the areas of education, health, rural development, and civil society support.

The Branch of Aga Khan Foundation in Kyrgyz Republic is looking for Temporary Project Accountant

General Responsibilities:

  • Provide an overall grant accounting and overseeing the daily management of the financial responsibilities and procedures
  • Provide on a monthly basis the BvA report to a Project Manager and assist the project manager in monitoring of the project budget implementation
  • Provide a regular monitoring of expenditures; revise the financial documents and reports of the partners in accordance with the donor’s, internal and legal requirements; document filing
  • Ensure the grant balance accounts are kept accurately and can be easily identified and reconciled in Scala
  • Other duties that are not specifically stated above but will necessarily come within the framework of operation shall be assigned from time to time by the Director Finance

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in accounting and finance, CAP certificate is preferable
  • Min 1 year of the accounting experience
  • Experience in development agency or NGO is preferable
  • Base knowledge of KR Tax and Labor Laws
  • Familiarity with an expertise in iScala would be an advantage
  • Computer literate with ability to command excel
  • Spoken and written English is preferable
