Kindly note that relocation to Montenegro is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Permanent monitoring, analysing and identifying the best ways and methods to decrease unsuccessful transactions;
  • Interaction with other units of the organization of the company relating within its competence;
  • Maintaining payments monitoring process in the company;
  • Developing proposals on how to organize, monitor and improve the processes for customers’ deposits/withdrawals;
  • Minimize company losses from client inability to make payment;
  • Provision and ongoing management of a reporting mechanism (weekly, monthly, quarterly reports)on the activities to the manager;
  • To prioritise and organise workloads and where necessary, to work without direct supervision. To use own initiative and sound judgement to meet or exceed individual and team performance targets within agreed timescales;
  • To ensure that all investigations are undertaken in accordance with all relevant corporate policy, investigation team operating procedures, professional guidelines, statutory requirements and criminal legislation;
  • To investigate allegations of non-payments, decline codes and customer unfriendliness by using the full range of investigative techniques, as appropriate.Including:
  • The effective communication to third parties as required or directed under caution where appropriate, in accordance with the internal instructions;
  • Making relevant, appropriate and timely enquiries on payments;
  • Undertaking static surveillance where appropriate using specialised equipment and databases;
  • Carefully check of payment technical or computer changes of payment processes;
  • Any other enquiries that may be deemed necessary;
  • To adopt any new methodology that may become appropriate resulting from new practices and/or improved techniques;
  • To assist Payment systems department head in promoting successful payment processawareness and in developing working practices to identify best technics of payment processes;
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as may be required;
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation (Payment systems rules), ensure that all team members are aware of potential changes and assist in the development of procedures to facilitate these changes;
  • To maintain a record of each investigation and to draft accurate and concise reports to management when required or requested and to make a final report of each investigation, making appropriate recommendations;
  • To carry out the duties and responsibilities of the job with due regard to all Payment policies and procedures including Data Protection, Equal Opportunities, Diversity;
  • To represent the Payment systems department leader when required at meetings both internally and externally in case of need;
  • To maintain a high level of customer care in all operations.

Knowledge and skills:

  • University Degree(“Essential”);
  • Minimum 3 years payment systems experience (“Essential”);
  • High Level of English (good enough to conduct personal negotiations) (“Essestial”);
  • A good understanding of the payments systems market (PS types, specifics of the various markets, legal requirements, the requirements of PS) (“Essential”);
  • Strong understanding of clearing and settlement types (“Essential”);
  • Understanding of the typical contractual arrangements/clauses with the various payment systems (“Desirable”);
  • Good technical knowledge of payment process preferred. (“Essential”);
  • Good communication, time management and prioritisation skills. (“Desirable”);
  • Knowledge of regulatory framework and market practices relating to payment systems. (“Desirable”);
  • Experienced in analyzing work of international payment systems (“Essential”);
  • Interpersonal skills:
  • Negotiation skills;
  • Persuasive skills - the ability to defend their position;
  • Ability to listen to the interlocutor;
  • Ability to understand customer needs.
