United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) is the United Nation’s global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. We are on the ground in 166 countries, working with them on their own solutions to global and national development challenges. As they develop local capacity, they draw on the people of UNDP and our wide range of partners.

The annual Human Development Report, commissioned by UNDP, focuses the global debate on key development issues, providing new measurement tools, innovative analysis and often controversial policy proposals. The global Report’s analytical framework and inclusive approach carry over into regional, national and local Human Development Reports, also supported by UNDP.
In each country office, the UNDP Resident Representative normally also serves as the Resident Coordinator of development activities for the United Nations system as a whole. Through such coordination, UNDP seeks to ensure the most effective use of UN and international aid resources.

As an essential part of the UN Family, the United Nations Developmental Programme (UNDP) focuses on developmental issues. It is a trusted and impartial source for knowledge-based advice, experiences, and resources, and is a strong advocate of effective principles in a country’s economic growth. Additionally, UNDP seeks to address the many causes of poverty, as well as promote human development, in close cooperation with developing countries and countries in transition. In doing this, UNDP is helping countries to attract and use international aid in effective, transparent, and accountable ways. Hence, UNDP has introduced a new measure of performance — that of client satisfaction. Governments, donors, and of course, people are the main clients of UNDP.
In line with the UNDP Administrator’s Business Plan for 2000-2003, improved efficiency in provision of services is one of the preconditions of the organization’s success. Taking a business-minded approach to providing quality and timely service, the UNDP Ukraine Business Operations Centre is playing an important role in UNDP activities in Ukraine. Center facilitates implementation of the UNDP projects as well as assists UN Agencies/Funds/Programmes operating in Ukraine.
