Mission - Category strategy development and implementation
Main Tasks and Functions - Identify, quantify and evaluate each opportunity of Category business across all trade channels and give feedback to BU Manager and Channel Managers
- Formulate opportunities into strategies, and build tactics for each defined strategy
- Provide Category assortment planning: determine and confirm strategic role of Category in Channel/Customer, analyze data, recommend and justify assortment and space guidelines by Channel/Customer
- Translate Category Brand plans into Channel planning and specific actions. Ensure consistency between Channel plans and Category Brand plans
- Determine medium/long term Category objectives for all channels (identify profit, MS targets for different channels)
- Evaluate Space Management activities
- Develop expertise on Category dynamics through close relationship with customers
- Ownership of CDP Monthly Forecast Review (or pre-MFR) process towards appointed category
- Prepare category sales plans incl. its elaboration per regions and customers
- New Product Introduction - participation in development process and leadership in introduction to trade and Field Sales Force
- Category TTS/PFME budget control across all CCSD activities
- Provide all necessary information about Category Management and merchandising standards for the Field Sales Force and HR training department
- Regular field visits - to control the merchandising execution across trade channels and monitor merchandising activity results based on sales reports - conclusions, changes, effects, and arguments.
